Hello, Happy Hour Project readers!! I just love Adrianne and all the awesome projects she shares here and am so excited to be guest posting today. Thank you so much, Adrianne, for opening up your blog to me!
For those of you who do not know me, let me first introduce myself … my name is Kara and I am a wife and mommy and love to crochet. And I love being able to share this passion on my blog, Petals to Picots, by providing tutorials, patterns, and lots of other useful information and inspiration for both beginner and experienced crocheters. But today I am here to share something different … Slumber Party Cupcakes!
My daughter is a little chef in the making. She uses any occasion as an excuse to make something. So when she was invited to a friend’s slumber party, she of course got to work researching the perfect thing to make. And boy did she find it! She chose the Slumber Party Cupcakes from Hello, Cupcake! as her inspiration. We didn’t follow the directions in the book exactly but they still came out so cute!
What do you think?
Want to make your own?
Here’s what you’ll need:
- cupcakes
- icing
- large marshmallows
- fruit roll-ups
- teddy grahams
- vanilla wafers
To decorate, ice your cupcakes as you usual. Then cut a marshmallow in half lengthwise, one half will be the body and the other will be the pillow. To make the head, place a vanilla wafer to rest on the pillow. Then cut a square from a fruit roll-up as the blanket. Now all that is left is to add your finishing touches … you can use different colored icing to add hair and faces to your sleeping children and place a teddy graham next to the child as a bedtime friend.
That’s it! So easy!
I hope you enjoyed our little treat. Thank you again, Adrianne, for having me! Hope you’ll all stop by and say hi to me at Petals to Picots :)

Aw I don't know if I want to eat them or stare at them, these are so cute! Any food tastes so much better when there's a 'design' behind them, no? Thanks a lot for sharing this idea, hun xx
