Scrapbook Paper Wood Bangles

For my paper-loving friends, I’ve got a fun idea today that’s easy to make and perfect for spring!  Make brightly-colored wood bangles with a bit of paint, paper, and Mod Podge to match your warm weather wardrobe, and you can be sure that what you’re wearing is one of a kind.  Best of all?  It’s a totally easy craft!

This project is a great scrap-buster, and it’s a great way to show off your love of paper crafting.  I mean, if you’re like me, you always love the same colors and patterns, whether you’re crafting or choosing new pieces for your wardrobe, so chances are you already have the perfect paper to match the spring tops in your closet.

Accessories inspired by other things I love are my favorite kind – it’s like wearing your heart at the end of your sleeve. ;)  You only need a few supplies to make these bracelets, and I’m sharing the full tutorial to make DIY Scrapbook Paper Wood Bracelets over at the Core’dinations blog this week, so be sure to stop by for the DIY, and to say hello!

I’m really into the polka dots this year for some reason… I love polka dot everything right now!  It’s just so cheerful, and the clean lines really appeal to me.  What about you – what are your favorite colors and styles this spring?

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
