Bright Scraps Statement Necklace

I think my favorite part about accessories is that it’s your best chance to really showcase your personality.  I mean, your outfit shows off your style – when you can, of course.  As your dress code allows.  But accessories always tell a story, too.  They’re what you wear every day.  And that’s what prompted me to make up this simple statement necklace from my favorite scrapbook papers and a bit of Mod Podge.  For the paper junkies.

Even better than showing off your love of being crafty and your favorite papers, you can express your individual paper style with ink, glitter, and more – in any color that strikes you.  It’s an easy project and it doesn’t require a lot of special tools, so come on over to the Core’dinations blog, where I’m sharing how to make a scrapbook paper statement necklace for yourself!  It’s a great casual look, and layering is hot this summer, so this style definitely goes with lots of other pieces, too.

What colors and shapes would you choose?  Would you wear it long or short?  Ahhhh… I’m such an accessory junkie.  I’d say I’m sorry… but I’m totally not. ;)

Hope you guys are having a great weekend!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
