DIY Wire Heart Necklace

Hey friends!  I can’t believe February is almost here already.  If you’re starting to think all-things-hearts right now, then I’ve got a really simple DIY wire heart necklace design to try.  Even if you’ve never worked with wire jewelry before, I think you’ll find that this is a project every beginner can make.  It’s a delicate heart strung on a fine chain – an accessory that can go with any outfit this Valentine’s day without being over the top, decking yourself in pinks and reds.

DIY WIre Heart Necklace at www.happyhourprojects.com

The great thing about this piece is that wire isn’t that expensive, and it comes in a large quantity.  You have lots of opportunity to practice your wire-shaping skills and perfecting your style without running out of supplies.  Wire jewelry is also a great choice for craft nights because a little goes a log way, and you can share with friends while you get your craft on!

You can make your own DIY Wire Heart Necklace using chain and wire from Blitsy Crafts – where I’m sharing the full tutorial this week.  If you aren’t familiar with Blitsy – you should be!  It’s an online retailer of discount craft supplies, with flash sale events and everyday deals on the key things you need to stock your craft room.

You can shop Blitsy anytime to save (you know, on everything you’re buying anyway), or stop over for inspiration at their creative blog (where I’m also a design team member)!  You can catch the tutorial for making basic wire shapes for jewelry, and shop for any supplies you may still need while you’re there.  If you sign up and place your first order within 24 hours, you even get $10 off that order.  (Yep – free craft supplies!  Does it get better than that?)

Come on over, say hi, and check out the easy how-to.  Hope you had a great weekend!

That’s a really cute necklace. I like that it isn’t over the top, but still a bit more unique than most silver heart necklaces you’ll find in stores.

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
