Ritz Review | Polaroid Snap Touch Camera

Hey friends! I’ve got a review perfect for summer fun from today’s post sponsor, Ritz Camera.  As a brand ambassador for Ritz, I get a chance to share my own thoughts on some of their hottest products, and today I’m talking about the Polaroid Snap Touch camera.  This review isn’t affiliated with Polaroid and it’s my honest experience.  If you landed here looking for a non-technical Polaroid Snap Touch review, I don’t talk tech here.  My goal is just to keep it real for the average user.  There are affliate links within this post, which means if you decide to shop through the following links or use the discount code at the end of this post, it helps keep my website free for everyone by earning me a small commission at no cost to you (and thank you, by the way)!

So let me start off by talking about the obvious: the instant-print capability that Polaroid is known for going back through generations.  In a digital world, there’s just something about having a physical memento of fun times.  So that makes the Polaroid Snap Touch ideal for things like camping trips, vacations, girls’ night out, date night, family reunions – you get the idea.  Get a little group together for any memorable occasion, and you can instantly share a wallet-sized photo with anyone in under a minute.  The zero-ink ZINK paper loads right into the camera similar to the old school Polaroid film, but the new generation technology lets you choose which photos you want to print and lets you adjust basic settings – crop, brighten, add stickers – so that when you’re ready, you get the print you want.  No wasted prints!

Now, the Polaroid Snap Touch it advertised as a fits-in-your-pocket camera.  This is true.  However, the power-on/power-off mechanism is the pop-up flash (with selfie mirror) and I found that in my purse, it opened on its own and used battery life.  It’s totally rechargeable, so there’s no real loss there, except the possibility of a missed opportunity if you aren’t keeping an eye on it!  This is an easy fix if you are more prepared that I am and you keep your camera in an actual camera case or pouch.  Silly me.  Ahem.  Lesson learned, and I’m passing that tip on to you.

So the specs on the camera are 10 Megapixels, 32 GB Micro SD memory which saves every photo as digital, 1080 HD video, a built-in selfie mirror and a pop-up flash for low-light memory-making.  You can upgrade your memory to 128 GB with a Polaroid 128GB Elite Pro MicroSDXC UHS-1 Card with Adapter.  It’s got a touch screen, Bluetooth, and of course the classic instant-print in full color (which takes about 35 seconds).  It comes in red, white, black and blue for $179.99 at Ritz Camera with free shipping, and I’ve got a discount code you can use for your ZINK paper refills to get 10% off from now through February 28, 2018.  Just use code ASZINK at checkout!

I’m sentimental, and my favorite part about using the Polaroid Snap Touch is pinning prints to my corkboard.  My mom also got shots of my kids for her wallet when she visited.  There is just something about having an instant print in your hand that’s really special, so adding this camera to your photography arsenal is so perfect for special occasions, or making everyday occasions special.  You can conserve ZINK paper by choosing which images to print, so you don’t have dozens of “meh” prints just to get a good one.  I had a LOT of fun using this camera, and it’s coming on all our summer adventures!

Thanks for joining me today, and I hope your summer is off to a great start!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
