Awards upon Awards!

So, I know I’ve been lying low for the past week and a half, and you mamas really know how to pick a girl up – with some beautiful recognition! 

My first thank you is to Melanie over at bear rabbit bear for the Liebster Award last week.

The rules to the Liebster Award are as follows: 

• Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
• Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog. 
• Post the award on your blog.
• Bask in the love from the most supportive people on the Internet – other writers.

Later in the week, Jenni over at Kissed By A Frog awarded me with the Versatile Blogger Award. 

Now, I did have a post about this last month, but I’m so happy to be on anyone’s list of “blogs they enjoy” – even more so when it comes around again!!  It’s always a compliment to be recognized!  Thank you, my “frogulicious friend”! :)

Here’s where the dilemma is.  In order to convey my sincere appreciation for the love these mamas have shown me, I should now share 17 things about myself and then come up with 30 nominees for three different awards – without duplicating the 15 I tagged in my last post – and hope I choose recipients who haven’t gotten the same awards already… you know, forgive me while I take a few liberties here. ;)

Here is what you get.  On the “about me” front: My take on popularity awards like these.

They are freaking awesome.

The best we can do for one another out here in blogland is appreciate one another.  I love to see you mamas’ creativity, compassion, mommy-stories.  I love reading something sassy, or sweet, or even sad.  To get a popularity award is actually a very personal form of recognition – “official” or not.  Did I need any credentials to be tagged?  Nope.  Have a achieved any milestones?  Nope.  I don’t think so, anyway.  But someone out there – someones – sent me a little ray of sunshine.
