Decided to post a quickie this morning because I found myself making something {real quick} before work. I think it’s become official, I’m a blog addict. *sigh*
Don’t forget to come back at 5:00 today (or anytime this weekend) for Freestyle Friday and link up your creations!
So I am finding that I wear more red recently. I’m not sure why, I just like it. I think it’s that ever-changing, what’s-your-favorite-color at work. Well, my accessories have not yet caught up. I have very little red!
So I took five minutes this morning (plus drying time) to make a quick rose hair pin. You get camera phone pictures today, mamas, in the interest of time. Sorry. :)
I cut a 1/2″ (ish) x 8″ (ish) strip of red broadcloth.
I made it into a very tiny rose. Instructions can be found here if you don’t already know how to make these! I just love them. :)
Then I got out a hairpin with a bail (yes, I do keep such thing on-hand, LOL) and attached the rose with some Amazing E-6000. It may be overkill, but it works really well, so that is what I use.
Then I attempted to show you a picture but I suck at taking pictures of myself in the mirror. Sorry. You get the idea.
And that’s it! I let it dry while I was in the shower and getting ready to hit the road.
What are your fast projects? Am I the only one who does this sort of thing?

Betsy, you're not setup for replies, but to answer your question, you can see it a little *if* you get way too much or you get it all over the top of your rose. But if you're just dotting it on, it's really tough to see even if you're looking. I really like it!
I'm SO into fabric rosettes these days!! I'm pretty new to making them and am looking for a better glue that doesn't leave a residue on the roses (Fabri-Tac just isn't cutting it for me). Do you find any sort of residue when using Liquid Stitch??? Thanks for sharing!!!
Super cute! Love the red!
Hi,
What a pretty hairpin! I looks very cute on you! I saw you on the savvy homemade monday blog party.
