Freestyle Friday #1 Highlights and a {Winner}!

Okay, first order of business.  Today is my birthday.  I’ve been behind in posting because I have *vacation* this week and I’m all out of whack, what with all the relaxing and amazing baby snuggles I’m getting.  I would apologize… but I am really not sorry.  I’m loving it!!

Okay, back to task.  I am *so blown away* by what you mamas linked up at Freestyle Friday!  We had 58 amazing entries.  I have lots and lots of ideas on my must-make list now… and a few days levft this week to give some of these a try!

Now on to the highlights!
Viewers choice with the most clicks was Erin’s Chocolate Lava Cake posted at Home Savvy A to Z.  Small wonder, I’ve been drooling over this beauty since last week.  YUM.  Incidentally, Erin hosts a fantastic Homemade Monday link party, and you still have time to link up this week!
Now, I do not have Erin’s skills.  So I have to confess, my favorite foodie entry has got to be this ombre cake that Jen from The Crafting Fiend attempted (which I hear at least turned out delicious, for the record) that she titled, “Cake Fail”:
Jen, I {heart} you for this one. :)
One of the paint projects that had me smiling was this legen… wait for it… dary stencil painting by Anna at Directions not Included:
I am fascinated by Ashley at Eisy Morgan’s 30 days of hair.  One thing I rarely think of when it comes to craftiness is beauty tips, but let’s be honest, crafty mamas love making everything pretty!  She shared this sock bun tutorial:
And my favorite project overall is Meg and Mum’s drinks cabinet.  You have GOT to see the before and after photos on this one!  Plus, it combines two things that I have just got to try: Mod Podge and a furniture transformation – in the same project!
I could go on and on, because there were so many fantastic additions.  Consider me inspired by all of you!!
If you were featured, grab a button, crafty mama!

Can’t wait to see you back here on Friday!  The party opens up at 5:00 Thursday (EDT) ~ true happy hour style.
Now… I have one other piece of important business: our giveaway winner!  What did we do before random number generators?  It had something to do with hats, didn’t it…?

Congratulations to comment #4 – Carlee from Ladybird Ln.  I am emailing you to get your custom Sassy Headband made and out to you right away!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
