A Big Surprise from Green Giant™ – Veggie Chips!

Surprise!

Green Giant™ has a big announcement – the vegetable giant is introducing a new line of chips!  They sent me two flavors to try and tell you about, and they are delicious!

Green Giant Veggie Chips

In unveiling their big surprise, Green Giant™ has found a lot of people with surprise talents! Check out the video to see a few!  (And you can see even more if you check out the Green Giant YouTube channel!)  Do you have a surprise talent?  Green Giant™ would love to have you share your video with them – visit their Facebook to submit it!

I have a few talents of my own – but you regular readers see most of them every day, there aren’t many surprises left around here. :) Very few of my talents are something I could make a short video of that would actually be interesting to watch.  I don’t sing, I don’t dance, I can’t do tricks. ;) I’ve written a few novels (well – first drafts of novels!) but that’s hardly a video-worthy process.  My husband wanted me to share a video that I can tie a cherry stem in a knot with my teeth… er, but you don’t want to see that! *blush*  Haha – what kinds of lesser-known talents do you have?

Now that the big news is out – let me tell you what I thought about the chips!

The Green Giant™ Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips with Sea Salt are made with real sweet potatoes and made with 14 grams of whole grain (the daily recommendation is 48g of whole grains).  They also contain 40 percent less fat than regular potato chips at 6g per 28g serving (as opposed to 10g fat in the average potato chip).  I could blame this part on being pregnant – they are also my new favorite chip.  I actually ate the entire bag all by myself, and I am not normally a chip-person.

Green Giant Veggie Chips

I also sampled the Zesty Cheddar Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips.  This naturally flavored chip is made with real vegetables, 17 grams of whole grain per serving.  It was my husband’s favorite.  In our house, he IS our resident chip fiend, so I was content to let him finish those off – and meanwhile, I was happy that we had both found a snack I could feel good about.   We will definitely pick these up again!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
