New Kitchen Inspiration

Thank you Delta for sponsoring this post.

I have been getting really excited to start our kitchen makeover.  It’s going to be one step at a time, of course, but it’s so wonderful to put our own touches and style into our new house.  I showed you before, we have to start with the sink.  The old one is a white plastic/composite… and it just has to go.

Planning my #DeltaFaucetInspired Kitchen Makeover at www.happyhourprojects.com

So I’ve been scouring Pinterest, the Home Improvement websites, and the Delta Faucet website deciding on my favorite look.  My husband has actively participated in choosing something new, which has both surprised me and also made me even more excited – because we are finding that his tastes and mine are very similar! (Whew!) I’ve found some fabulous ideas that I have been pinning to my Kitchen Makeover board.  Here’s one look we liked a lot:

We love the colors in this kitchen, so we opted to replace our old sink with black granite.  The countertops will have to be a project for early next year, but we picked out our new sink, and we paired it with the Linden faucet with Delta’s Touch2o technology.

There are a few kitchen elements that impact the whole “feel” of your kitchen: the counters, the cabinets, and that focal point: the sink and faucet.  I know personally that I spend more time at the sink while in the kitchen than any other part of the room.  Whether it’s food preparation, cleaning, craft time, bathing the baby, or even just water play with my 2-year old – we spend plenty of time at the sink, so it’s a space I have to love!  I’m happy enough with our basic cabinets, and I can make do with the current counters… but the sink and faucet is the perfect place to begin our kitchen makeover.  We will be installing our new sink and faucet later this week!  So I will be excited to share how that project comes together!  Stay tuned!

Looking forward to seeing the finished kitchen! We replaced our sink and faucet a few months ago and it made a huge difference in the appearance of our kitchen. And I’m loving the deeper sink, too!

Adrianne, I don’t have a dishwasher so I spend WAY too much time at my sink! You’re really going to love your new updated sink! :D

Completely agree with replacing that sink. The deeper black one is very modern. Luv it. <a href

How exciting to do a kitchen makeover, Adrianne! We re did our kitchen earlier this year. I would still like to do more but my money tree isn’t growing yet ;-)

I can’t wait to see your progress.

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
