Roman’s Taggies Swing ‘N Go

This review was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Kids II. I was provided the featured product free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Okay mamas… do you remember that first month?  The Oh-my-goodness-I-will-give-you-a-thousand-dollars-if-you-just-stop-crying-for-fifteen-minutes month?  Well, it’s coming to a close soon for my little man, and we are all getting used to living as a family of four.  It’s just one of the stages while my son gets used to living life out here with the rest of us.  And often, THIS is what it looks like:

Yeah.  You know.

This is Roman in Raya’s old swing.  And he  HATES it.  It swings side-to-side.  And apparently the giraffe is more scary than soothing to this one, and the sound of the motor maybe sounds like, I don’t know – the sound of giraffes eating small children?  Yeah, it did not work AT ALL for him!  I stored that mammoth thing for 2 years, only to put it in the garage sale pile this month. *sigh*

So – we found ourselves on the hunt for something else – a bouncy seat, a new swing – something, anything that lets me set him down for five minutes – when I had the opportunity to review the Taggies Swing ‘N Go.  It turns out – he loves it!  Hallelujah!  The Swing ‘N Go is a portable swing, so it’s much more compact than our old swing – and it moves all over in the house where I need to be (oh – there goes my excuse to avoid the laundry, haha).

The swing is a totally silent front-to-back swing – unless you want to turn on the music or white noise options that are a part of it, of course.  It’s got 5 speeds, and a 15, 30, or 45-minute timer.  And it does this to my son:

Ahhhh.  The sweet sound of no one screaming.  Until my daughter gets revved up during playtime, of course. ;)

Roman mostly just chills out in the swing.  I’m not personally a fan of letting my kids rock to sleep, but hey – sometimes it just happens while you’re not looking for like 45 seconds.

Some of the more fun features are lost on him at just 3 weeks old, but as he gets a little older the signature Taggies details will be interesting.  There are two Taggies animals that hang from the top to watch, ribbon Taggies all around the seat of the swing to touch, and a soft Taggies caterpillar friend that stows away in the seat buckle to snuggle with.  And best yet, the whole swing folds up for easy travel, so when he visits Grandma, we can take *his* swing along, the one that he is familiar and comfortable with.

So this swing has been a lifesaver for us.  Roman has gotten more use out of it in a week than Raya did out of hers the whole time we had it!  You can find the Taggies Swing ‘N Go at Babies R Us.  You can also follow Taggies on Facebook and Instagram to get the information on new products and promotions!Adrianne

My son loved his swing! I was so sad when he outgrew it. I wish we’d had this little one. There were 5 of us living in a 900 sq ft apartment and the swing was HUGE! This would’ve been perfect.

What a sweetie. And I hear ya–that first month can be rough! My little guy lived in his swing, so much so that it is totally destroyed. For the next baby we’ll have to get a new one, and this one looks great! Hope you are all napping right now!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
