I spotted these cute ceramic beads in an Etsy shop I worked with recently (I’ll bet telling you more about O and N’s ceramic beads next week – I got some really beautiful Greek beads from Tina’s shop), and knew exactly what I wanted to make – I’ve had an idea for a simple choker necklace for a while now, and this was a sweet and unique way of putting it together.

What you will need:
- Heart-shaped bead / button
- 10mm jump rings
- 14 inches of chain (mine is 5 mm chain)
- Large lobster clasp
- Jewelry pliers

Construction of this piece is so simple! Just cut 14-15 inches of chain, and attach one end to the bead with a jump ring. Add a second jump ring to the other bead hole.

Then, just add your clasp to the end of the chain, so that it connects next to the bead. (If you don’t like this look, you can of course split the chain into two equal lengths, and add the clasp at the back. I just like how the clasp looks up front!)

You can also make it longer if you don’t care for the choker-look – this will sit at the hollow of your throat; it’s very short. I’ve just been meaning to try a shorter style, and I love the variety that this piece gives my jewelry collection! Best of all, it makes up really quickly, which is always a plus to me! Love it when I can keep crafting short and sweet!
