We took photos of everything and wrote all of the milestones on the calendar, then transferred them to the baby book periodically

For my grandson, who has his own facebook page (yea… we lied about his age! LOL), Every month I write a blog style post about what he has done in the past month, who he has met, new places he visited, etc. He’s only 2 months old… so not to many posts yet!

Thank GOD for digital cameras and Facebook! There’s some great programs (free too!) that allow you to make photo collages. I keep two separate folders (hopefully more in the future) of my grand kids, at the end of the year(or each birthday) put them all together and poof, instant memory book!

It depends on the milestone…but we tend to make a pretty big deal about all milestones. Having a child nearly die, and then to be developmentally delayed and not knowing when/if there will be another milestone you tend to celebrate every little step! Each of our children are celebrated and cherished!

I’m pretty big on keeping the baby book, so I try to write down all of the sweet little firsts. I have to admit, I was better at doing it with the first than the third, but I still try! :-)

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
