BuildASign Review & Giveaway

Thank you BuildASign.com for sponsoring today’s kid-friendly room decor and giveaway!

Okay, okay.  So I think that growing up with the name “Adrianne” – a name you could NEVER find personalized gear for – has caused me to seek out cool personalized items for my kids (who also don’t have really common names).  Fortunately, in this day and age, personalizing items is becoming both popular and easy!  I worked with BuildASign.com to get these street signs made for my kids’ rooms, and I LOVE how fun they are.  Miss Raya was pretty thrilled, too.

Part of it is that she has just learned to spell her name, so putting it on the door in big block letters really made her day.  She’s been taking everyone down to her room to show them what it says.

Designing on the BuildASign.com site was really easy, and the signs that come are outdoor quality.  I got the lighter, .040 reflective aluminum, but you can get them twice as thick, and even double-sided, if you’re actually in the market for a real street sign.

They’ve got more than just signs – you can get banners, bumper stickers, license plates – you name it!  They’re professional quality – we just used their offerings as kid-friendly decor.  But if you need yard signs, sandwich boards, or anything custom made for your business, check out their site.

As you can see – I picked one up for Roman, too. :)  We mounted it above his dresser.  I know, I know, it’s the same sign – but I just can’t get over how sweet they are!  My husband was sad I didn’t order one for him, too.  Haha.

This is only just one of hundreds of ideas you can design at BuildASign.com.  You can also keep up with them on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ for specials and new products!  They’re offering a giveaway today for a $50 sign credit to one lucky Happy Hour Projects reader, too!  U.S. readers age 18 and up can enter using Rafflecopter below.

Adrianne, finding items with “Marilyn” was a challenge too! I LOVE this idea of customizing a sign for your decorating…I might make one for my son (when he decides what college he is going to attend) or perhaps my daughter could make a sign for her classroom! The options are limitless!

I have a grandson that has never received anything personalized, his brother & sister always got their name, but he always got the generic version. He is just settling into his dorm room and Build-a-Sign would make an awesome decoration amongst his posters !!

Shirley’s Craft Room would be what I would want. Or My Craft Room, which one is best. I am trying to make a craftroom from an empty bedroom, it isn’t very big but it will be mine.

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
