Caramel Apple Cocktail

Hey friends!  I have been experimenting with cocktails for Halloween, and I hit on a fresh and simple combination that I wanted to share with you today.  It’s also an extremely flexible recipe, so you can serve it as Halloween shots, Halloween cocktails, a Halloween martini – you choose!  I’m sharing this delicious and easy vodka-based caramel apple cocktail recipe today just in time for your weekend parties.

Recently, I was searching my own archives and happened upon an oldie-but-goodie, the Black Widow Martini.  I will have a revamp to that recipe later this week, if you’re still thirsty after today’s Halloween drinks!  Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this fresh caramel apple cocktail:

Ingredients
  • 2 oz. caramel flavored vodka
  • 2 oz. Apple Pucker
  • 2 oz. fresh apple cider
Instructions
  1. Fill a rocks glass with ice, and add one part each of the three ingredients to a shaker tin. Shake well, and pour over ice. Garnish with an apple slice.
  2. To prepare this drink as a shot, reduce quantities to 1 oz. each. To serve as a martini, add ice to the shaker tin, shake well, and strain into a chilled martini glass.

I will be serving these up at a Halloween party I’m attending this weekend, and I think they will be a hit!  They end up being around 17% alcohol content when served as a shot, so they can pack a punch.  That means please be responsible, friends!  You can lower the alcoholic content by shaking it with ice, or serving it on the rocks – as the ice melts a little, it will add some water to your drink.  You can also just add more cider if you plan to serve it punch-style.  It’s so versatile!

Apples can be used to help in the treatment and prevention of some illnesses. Some of these include asthma. Studies have shown children with asthma that drink apple juice daily suffered less wheezing than those with asthma that don’t drink apple juice regularly.

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
