Craft Book Giveaway | DIY T-Shirt Crafts

Hey crafty friends!  It’s an exciting week for me, because my first craft book, DIY T-Shirt Crafts, launches this weekend!  To celebrate, there are TWO ways to win today.  Five lucky readers will win a copy of the book, and there’s also an Instagram and Twitter sweepstakes to win a pair of Fiskars spring-loaded scissors!  Read on to get the scoop.

DIY T-Shirt Crafts by Adrianne Surian | Pre-Order now on Amazon

DIY T-Shirt Crafts is a collection of 50 ways to recycle an old tee.  In it, you’ll find scarves and jewelry, accessories, home decor, gifts, and more.  The projects are designed to take an hour or less, and you don’t need a sewing machine to make them – some projects require little more than a tee and a sharp pair of scissors.  It’s the same kind of great projects you’re used to seeing around here, put together in one beautiful book for your craft room shelf!

DIY T-Shirt Crafts is available online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble, or ask for it at your local bookstore.  It officially hits the shelves on August 1st, or grab it for your e-reader right now.

To enter this giveaway, leave me a comment below letting me know why you’re excited to win this book!  Will you start crafting with some of your old tees?  Do you have a friend or family member who’s a craft-a-holic?  Is there a particular project you’re excited to make?  Then, claim your entry on the Rafflecopter form below.  You can also earn a bonus entry by tweeting a message to share the giveaway!  U.S. readers and friends can enter now through August 7th, 2015 (entries will be collected until 11:59 pm Eastern time).  No purchase necessary; void where prohibited.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Did you already buy the book?  Not to worry, you can still win something special – in fact, the perfect thing to get you started on the projects in the book!  Just take a selfie with your book (or any image of the book), and post it to Instagram or to Twitter!  Here’s how to get entered:

1. Create a post on Twitter or on Instagram with a photo of DIY T-Shirt Crafts attached.  I want to see you with your book!  Tag @HappyHrProjects, and use the hashtag #DIYTShirtCrafts to be entered to win.

2. You may earn up to TWO entries daily through 8.7.15 at 11:59 pm EDT – one entry on Twitter and one on Instagram in each 24-hour period.  A pair of spring-loaded 8″ Fiskars Titanium Nitride Scissors (a $28 value, and PERFECT for cutting up t-shirts) will go to one winner on each platform.

3. Reposts and Retweets ARE eligible entries if they meet the entry criteria (photo of book, tag @HappyHrProjects, hashtag #DIYTShirtCrafts).  An easy way to repost or retweet is to follow me on Instagram and/or on Twitter, find the giveaway image (which will be posted at 7pm EDT on 7/31/15) and repost it!

Rules for Twitter and Instagram Sweepstakes:  Giveaway is open to U.S. residents age 18 and up, and ends at 11:59pm EST on August 7th, 2015.  Number of entries received determines the odds of winning. Two winners will be selected; one from the Twitter pool, one from the Instagram pool. Winner will drawn by random.org from all verified entries and tagged on the entry platform at the end of the contest. Winner has 48 hours to respond or prize will be redrawn.  No prize substitutions allowed. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Twitter, Instagram, or Fiskars.  Prize is sponsored and fulfilled by Adrianne Surian; bloggers promoting this contest are not responsible for prize fulfillment. Protected tweets or posts do not count as an entry method; posts must come from a public account.  ARV of prizes totals $56.  No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law.

Congratulations on the book release! I would love to win a copy to use at my school library. I am starting a makerspace this fall and what a great way to engage and hook the kids on crafting . Reusing makes it affordable to all (not always the case) and environmentally sound. Perfect teachable moments.

This looks like such a fun book! Both my fiance and I are crafty people, and we also happen to be major nerds. lol So I would love to turn some of our old graphic tee’s featuring our favorite fandoms into fun new DIY crafts! I am also a jewelry artist myself, so I am looking forward to seeing what jewelry related crafts await me in your book. Congratulations on being published, girl! Keeping my fingers crossed for this sweepstakes! <3

Your book looks like the kind of ideas I’ve been searching for online! We have cleaned out closets and have a LARGE pile of tshirts that aren’t able to be donated – stains, small holes, etc. The environmentalist in me can”t bring myself to just throw them away…
Most importantly – Congratulations on your book!! Exciting, I’m sure. :D

my sewing room is overflowing with different things, “i can make something out of that” and my Husband calls it Never Never Land! it’s never going to get cleared out!

I am a high school librarian who is working to integrate a variety of makerspaces in my library. This book would be very helpful to me and to my students in trying a variety of crafts and ideas and to become more innovative. Thanks for the opportunity!

I’m excited to win this book, because I have a box full of t-shirts to use up for crafts. I would love to share some of the ideas in this book with the seniors at our local senior center. They love to craft and I have had classes with them before. Also, I do a “Gals Day Out” craft day with a church in our community. I could teach one of the projects there as well. And remember, if I win you have to autograph it for me.

I am SO excited for you! I’ve always wanted to be published!! I’d totally have to be selfish and keep the book for myself. I’m the crafty one in the family but I love teaching those around me how do the projects that I’m able to create. Congrats on publication and thank you for teaching me so much!

I would so love to win a copy of this for myself. I’ve seen hundreds of ways to modify a t-shirt as a tote bag or something to wear, but this is the first time I’ve seen anything about how to repurpose a t-shirt. for other things. So, so cool!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
