Hey crafty friends! It’s an exciting week for me, because my first craft book, DIY T-Shirt Crafts, launches this weekend! To celebrate, there are TWO ways to win today. Five lucky readers will win a copy of the book, and there’s also an Instagram and Twitter sweepstakes to win a pair of Fiskars spring-loaded scissors! Read on to get the scoop.
DIY T-Shirt Crafts is a collection of 50 ways to recycle an old tee. In it, you’ll find scarves and jewelry, accessories, home decor, gifts, and more. The projects are designed to take an hour or less, and you don’t need a sewing machine to make them – some projects require little more than a tee and a sharp pair of scissors. It’s the same kind of great projects you’re used to seeing around here, put together in one beautiful book for your craft room shelf!
DIY T-Shirt Crafts is available online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble, or ask for it at your local bookstore. It officially hits the shelves on August 1st, or grab it for your e-reader right now.

Congratulations on the book release! I would love to win a copy to use at my school library. I am starting a makerspace this fall and what a great way to engage and hook the kids on crafting . Reusing makes it affordable to all (not always the case) and environmentally sound. Perfect teachable moments.
This looks like such a fun book! Both my fiance and I are crafty people, and we also happen to be major nerds. lol So I would love to turn some of our old graphic tee’s featuring our favorite fandoms into fun new DIY crafts! I am also a jewelry artist myself, so I am looking forward to seeing what jewelry related crafts await me in your book. Congratulations on being published, girl! Keeping my fingers crossed for this sweepstakes! <3
I would love the book to share with my granddaughter!
I’d love to win it! Always looking for more ways to be creative!
Would love to win. I need some ideas to dress up my plain tees.
I would be super excited to win this book! I’d make the t-shirt plant hanger first. Although, my best friend would love it too so I would share it with her. Thank-you. :)
I would be selfish and keep it….but make lots of fun gifts for friends and family! Can’t wait to see it!
We have bags of Tshirts just waiting to be made into something. This book will give us plenty of inspiration.
I’d like to have this book to get new ideas for useful and affordable family crafts.
Your book looks like the kind of ideas I’ve been searching for online! We have cleaned out closets and have a LARGE pile of tshirts that aren’t able to be donated – stains, small holes, etc. The environmentalist in me can”t bring myself to just throw them away…
Most importantly – Congratulations on your book!! Exciting, I’m sure. :D
I’d love to win the book because i’m the t-shirt junkie in my home…i’ve got 100 easy that i just can’t throw away!
my sewing room is overflowing with different things, “i can make something out of that” and my Husband calls it Never Never Land! it’s never going to get cleared out!
so, to help prove my Husband wrong, i’d like to have a copy of Your book please!
Thanks, and have a great day!
With 5 grandchildren (3 of them teenage girls) I think this book would be awesome to have.
Wow, you make such beautiful projects!! Where do you get your inspiration? Love to follow your blog from now on!
This gives me all types of excitement. I am always looking for new things to do in my spare time and be able to connect with people in different ways.
I am a high school librarian who is working to integrate a variety of makerspaces in my library. This book would be very helpful to me and to my students in trying a variety of crafts and ideas and to become more innovative. Thanks for the opportunity!
I just cleaned out my closet so I have a bunch of old t-shirts waiting to be cut up and reused!
I’m excited to win this book, because I have a box full of t-shirts to use up for crafts. I would love to share some of the ideas in this book with the seniors at our local senior center. They love to craft and I have had classes with them before. Also, I do a “Gals Day Out” craft day with a church in our community. I could teach one of the projects there as well. And remember, if I win you have to autograph it for me.
i make fringe necklaces and scarves out of shirts and added seed beads i also make head band too. i love funcyling
Funcycling! Yes! :)
Do you have a blog or website? Love to see it…
Oh! How Awesome! Your book is hitting the shelf! It must be a wonderful feeling of accomplishment.
And how I would love to have this in my collection! I have been addicted to crafts my Whole life, (and thats a Really long time!)…I also have 4 out of 5 grand kids addicted also!( #5 is under a year and mom and dad won’t let her use the sissors)
Congrats!! I would love this book! I have been trying my hand at upcycled crafts and this book looks wonderful! There are so many nice projects in here.
I am SO excited for you! I’ve always wanted to be published!! I’d totally have to be selfish and keep the book for myself. I’m the crafty one in the family but I love teaching those around me how do the projects that I’m able to create. Congrats on publication and thank you for teaching me so much!
I love crafting, and especially with items that I already have on hand! So many big t-shirts = so many up cycling possibilities in one book! I would be thrilled to have this book!
I have always have plenty of old t-shirts around the house. I could use some ideas as to what to do with them.
I would so love to win a copy of this for myself. I’ve seen hundreds of ways to modify a t-shirt as a tote bag or something to wear, but this is the first time I’ve seen anything about how to repurpose a t-shirt. for other things. So, so cool!
Congrats on your book. I would love it for my house and I love recycling. Thanks
I’m excited to win it to do the crafts myself – and to have craft nights with my girlfriends
