Diapers From The Honest Company

A few years back, I traveled out west to Yellowstone with a group of friends.  I had never seen the mountains before and I was in awe of them, and all the wildlife and the forests.  There is nothing so preserved where I live.  It really got me thinking about being a good steward to the earth.

Fast forward a few years to becoming a mother, and I am even more impressed by the importance of living an eco-friendly life, so that my daughter and the generations after her can enjoy nature too.  There’s also the concern about exactly what sorts of chemicals I’m exposing Raya to in today’s lifestyle that focuses first on convenience.  That’s why I really like the ideals of The Honest Company.

The Honest Company

I tried out the sample pack of disposable diapers and cloth wipes from The Honest Company after reading about how they’re made.  I love cloth diapering but quite frankly – all the extra washing that cloth diapers takes offsets much of the impact with all those extra loads of laundry I have to do.  Plus, on the days Raya is at day care – she has to wear disposables.  But knowing that there’s an organic option with no harsh chemicals or chlorine is really appealing.  And if that isn’t enough… oh my cuteness.  Just look at them. ;)

Ice Cream Cone Diapers

You’ll have to pardon the blur here… she’s nearly two.  She doesn’t do a whole lot of standing still… unless she’s curious about my things…

Leaf Diapers

The designs are totally adorable!  And I LOVE the wipes.

Star Diapers

You see, the Honest Company was started by a mom and a dad who, like many modern parents, were increasingly worried about products made with questionable chemical ingredients. But the alternatives they found were often expensive, inaccessible, bland, or ineffective. In response to this clear need for something better, they created The Honest Company to ensure that parents (or anyone for that matter!) could easily find natural and non-toxic eco-friendly products that are beautiful, effective, and affordable. From customized product bundles to diapers and wipes to an ever-expanding line of cleaning and personal care products, you can find everything you need at Honest.com and have it delivered directly to your front door.

I’ll have to check them out! I’m afraid of cloth diapering – can’t stand the poop! But these cute disposables are something else!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
