Distressed Charm Necklace

Hey friends!  I’ve got a quick idea to share with you today to put your own twist on metal charms to create a distressed charm necklace.  Choose your favorite words and make it uniquely you by using metal patinas.  Take a look and come “create happy” with me this weekend!

Create Happy Charm Necklace at happyhourprojects.com

I love the layers of color and the industrial look of this necklace.  If you’re looking to make something a little outside the box – without much effort at all – this is a project you should really check out.

You can make your own distressed charm necklace using chain and wire from Blitsy Crafts – where I’m sharing the full tutorial this week.  If you aren’t familiar with Blitsy – you should be!  It’s an online retailer of discount craft supplies, with flash sale events and everyday deals on the key things you need to stock your craft room.

You can shop Blitsy anytime to save (you know, on everything you’re buying anyway), or stop over for inspiration at their creative blog (where I’m also a design team member)!  You can catch the tutorial for making these distressed charms using patinas, and shop for any supplies you may still need while you’re there.  If you sign up and place your first order within 24 hours, you even get $10 off that order.  (Yep – free craft supplies!  Does it get better than that?)

Come on over, say hi, and check out the easy how-to.  Hope you have a great weekend!

I really think this has a unique look. I like customized jewelry! Or even “semi” customized.

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
