Easy Crystal Drop Necklace

07/12/2016 by Adrianne Surian 12 Comments

Hey friends!  I’ve got a quick and easy project to share today that adds a hint of sparkle and a pop of color to casual outfits.  It’s perfect for a day at the office or to wear to Sunday brunch, and best of all, because it’s a DIY necklace project, you can make it your own by mixing and matching beads of different colors, textures, shapes, and sizes!

The key to this project is mastering the basic skill of making your own beaded charms and connectors.  This is a skill that may require a couple of tries to get right, but once you’ve got the hang of it, you will be adding all kinds of sparkle and shine to your jewelry designs!

You can make your own DIY crystal drop necklace using supplies from Blitsy Crafts – where I’m sharing the full tutorial this week.  If you aren’t familiar with Blitsy – you should be!  It’s an online retailer of discount craft supplies, with flash sale events and everyday deals on the key things you need to stock your craft room.

You can shop Blitsy anytime to save (you know, on everything you’re buying anyway), or stop over for inspiration at their creative blog (where I’m also a design team member)!  You can catch the tutorial for making this easy DIY necklace and more, and shop for any supplies you may still need while you’re there.  If you sign up and place your first order within 24 hours, you even get $10 off that order.  (Yep – free craft supplies!  Does it get better than that?)

Come on over, say hi, and check out the easy how-to.  See you guys again soon!

Very pretty! I am a big fan of that shade of blue. It’s probably a bit fancy for my everyday wear, but I could see wearing it out on a date night or something.

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
