Easy DIY Drop Earrings

So the trends this season are moving from big and bold to more delicate chains.  It’s a trend I wasn’t sure how I would like, but it turns out I LOVE it!  So I’ve been embracing the fine chains when I put this quick project together: a pair of DIY drop earrings.  They only take a couple of minutes to make, and you can use whatever kind of beads you love for the look that’s right for you!  Whether it’s understated (like these), big bling, or something in between, the beauty of making your own jewelry is that you can make the look that’s right for you.

Easy DIY Drop Earrings at www.happyhourprojects.com

You can make your own easy drop earrings in your favorite colors using a few supplies from Blitsy Crafts – where I’m sharing the full tutorial this week.  If you aren’t familiar with Blitsy – you should be!  It’s an online retailer of discount craft supplies, with flash sale events and everyday deals on the staples you need to stock your craft room.

You can shop Blitsy anytime to save (you know, on everything you’re buying anyway), or stop over for inspiration at their creative blog (where I’m also a design team member)!  You can catch the tutorial for these DIY drop earrings, and shop for any supplies you may still need while you’re there.  If you sign up and place your first order within 24 hours, you even get $10 off that order.  (Yep – free craft supplies!  Does it get better than that?)

Come on over, say hi, and check out the easy how-to.  Hope you’re enjoying a great weekend!

I seriously love your blog. So many cute ideas! It’s too bad I don’t have more time. I have started picking one craft project a week that my daughter and I can work on together. This weekend, we’re making a felt Christmas tree for her bedroom.

Liz I can only give you my past experiences. I used a cab once to attend The Playboy Jazz Festival. Dropping off was a cinch. Getting a cab afterwards was very difficult. They did not have a taxi stand where cabs line up. All the traffic is coming out of the Bowl. We had to start walking up the road and wait for one to come. Things may have changed since. Call the Hollywood Bowl Box Office and ask if this has been solved.

with the huge markups at jewelry stores if you like to regularly coordinate with your fashion styles seems like DIY may be the way to go – plus that really does provide a personal touch to your accessories

You always have such cute stuff on this site. I’m envious of the skill it must take to create it all.

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
