Hey friends! I’ve been back in the studio, hammering away and having fun with some new ideas. Since I’m all about ART right now, I made a floral and art themed hand stamped necklace with a touch of color and sparkle using elements from today’s post sponsor, ImpressArt!

The sun colors flowers as art colors life. Call me uncharacteristically sentimental, but when I saw the quote (I’m sorry, I don’t know who to attribute it to – please comment below if you happen to know!) I just loved it. I pictured it on a floral themed necklace, and ImpressArt had just the right pewter blank to stamp it on.

Here’s what you’ll need:
- Steel Bench Block
- ImpressArt 1 lb Brass Stamping Hammer
- ImpressArt Scarlett’s Signature 2.5mm Uppercase and Lowercase Font
- Square Artisan Pewter Stamping Blank
- ImpressArt Stamp Straight Tape
- ImpressArt Stamp Enamel
- Jewelry Head Pin
- 4mm Bicone Czech Glass Bead
- 3mm Faceted Rondelle Czech Glass Bead
- 2 – 10mm Jump Rings
- ImpressArt Chain Nose Pliers
- ImpressArt Round Nose Pliers
- ImpressArt Flush Cutters
- 26″ Necklace Chain
- Ranger Metal Patinas: Verdigris and Opalite

Now the quote is long, and as you can see, I had to squeeze it in a little bit! I used Stamp Straight tape to ensure the vertical alignment of my letters was correct so that I’d have JUST enough room for the entire message.
Because the blank ended up so full, I filled the two tiny blank areas with a heart and a flower design stamp to balance it. Because I stamped to close to the edges, I opted to hammer the frame to texturize it and to cover any imperfections.

Next, I darkened my impression with Stamp Enamel. Just apply it to the stamped area, wait ten seconds, and wipe the excess away. It’s virtually permanent, and so easy to apply.

Now, to add a little color, I painted the floral portion of the blank with permanent metal patina in a green and pink shade. This adds something to the design that helps it to stand out!

Now, in my book, most pieces are not complete until you add a beaded charm! So I couldn’t resist. String a 3mm and 4mm faceted czech glass bead onto a jewelry head pin, and wrap the wire end of the pin around your round-nose pliers to create a small loop. Then, take the wire end and wrap it around the pin in neat coils between the loop you made and the top of the bead. Trim away any excess wire. (If you’d like to see my video where I show exactly how to make beaded charms, you can find it on my YouTube channel right here.)

Finally, assemble the pieces! Use 10mm jump rings to string the stamped pendant and beaded charm onto your necklace chain.

Enjoy all the colors of your life, friends, and I’ll see you again soon!

I absolutely LOVE this necklace!! I will be adding “Scarlett’s Signature” to my stamp collection soon! I’m excited to use the permanent metal patinas, too! Thank you so much for all of your amazing tutorials. Very easy-to-follow, and inspiring!
