Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

I have a couple fun things today that I want to share.  First… I want to shamelessly show off my little cutie at her Halloween party at school last week.

We had some record-high temps here, so the bumblebee was a last-minute decision to help Raya keep cool for her trunk-or-treat.  I’m so glad. ;)

It’s considerably colder today than last week… if my husband and I end up taking her out tonight, she’s going to be a snuggly, cuddly (insulated) dragon. :)

If you’re looking for a last-minute idea for today, I made up some paper treat boxes for my co-workers’ desks today.  I’ve posted the tutorial already, but if you didn’t pin it or missed out the first time around – you can download the template for it here!

Last night, we also painted some pumpkins.  Raya isn’t really old enough for carving, but she really enjoyed getting to play in the paints – look at the concentration on this kiddo:

These are her finished pumpkins.  I lost my light before I could get a proper photo, but I was able to snap this one when I set them out to dry.

We will be proudly displaying these on our patio tonight. :)

Now – on to some other fun!  Have you been enjoying the handmade Halloween ideas shared at this month’s themed link party?  I sure have!  Today is the last day to add your submissions to the party, and I have some really cute projects that caught my eye I’d like to spotlight today!

Candy Corn Starburst at Mom On Timeout
Harry The Spider Cake at Bird On A Cake
Scuba Diver Costume at Artsy Fartsy Mama
Paper Candy Corn Bunting at One Creative Mommy
Dollar Store Decor at Momnivore’s Dilemma
(Also another great Halloween link party at this post)
Nevermore Wreath at Create.Craft.Love

There’s still plenty of time to add your Halloween creations to the linky below – you have through tonight!  The party is co-hosted by my friends at Wait Til Your Father Gets Home and Petals To Picots, and all links automatically appear there – they are also featuring their faves today, too!  The party will also be archived on the Holiday Ideas page for future Halloweens. :)

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
