This quick and easy craft project is sponsored by Consumer Crafts.
Are you making any Easter crafts, or adding easy Easter decor to your home? I’ve got a fun DIY lamp you can make in just minutes by filling a mason jar with jellybeans – or your favorite treat! I’m teaming up with Consumer Crafts today as part of Crafty Hangouts, a group of great crafters sharing 10-minute or less projects in YouTube videos to share this tutorial that will show you how to make a mason jar lamp.
Don’t be intimidated at the idea of making your own lamp! I found an easy adapter at Consumer Crafts that screws onto any mason jar, making an instant lamp with no drilling, no assembly, and no fuss. It’s french-wired (meaning the wire remains outside the jar), so you can fill and refill a clean mason jar with actual treats, if you want to! I’ll leave links below to the products I used to make this lamp, in case you want to try making your own.
- Quart mason jar (I used wide mouth)
- Canning Jar Lamp Adapter (wide mouth to match, but it also comes in a narrow mouth variety, if you prefer)
- 6.5 inch lamp shade (or bigger would work fine, but I wouldn’t go any smaller)
- 60-Watt light bulb
- 32 oz. jellybeans
Assembly is so, so easy! Just pour in the jellybeans, screw on the adapter, add the shade and bulb and you’re ready to go! I’m showing you how in today’s Crafty Hangout video:

Great way to keep the kids entertained, wouldn’t last long in our house either.
I love your stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It daave to glue the lid onhrling. A problem at our house-the jellybeans would be gone in a day. I would have to glue the lid on.
Please excuse the typing above-O didn’t have my glasses on.
