Man-Craft: Crown Royal Bag to Golf Club Headcover

My husband thinks I can make anything.  So when a friend of his asked about turning some (ahem) *spare* Crown Royal bags into golf club head covers for his man-weekend coming up, of course my husband said I could.  Hey, I gotta give him credit, he at least bartered my time for free babysitting.

This was a fun project, though, because it’s not often that I man-craft.  I baby craft and even do some mama-crafting… but generally the men don’t get anything.  And here it is: the Crown driver cover.

Mmm.  Manly.

I sent a photo to Gary to see if he approved, and he said, “Awesome, it’s just what I had in mind!  I need ten.  I have more bags for you!”

Oy.  So I will be making nine more for him and his man-friends, but I am really pleased with how this turned out and I wanted to share it with you mamas!  It turned out I needed one and a half bags for one head cover, so I was a little bummed I couldn’t do it from one, but the driver is the biggest club in the bag, so I suppose it makes good sense.  But I really don’t think the men need an excuse to procure me a few more bags.

All in all, I’m a happy crafter! ~ Adrianne

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
