Now Showing!

Man, it has been a hectic few days around here!  We listed our condo for sale last Friday, and the great news is… someone has come to take a look every. single. day.  There were even two showings yesterday.  It would be AWESOME if it sells fast (fingers crossed)!

Our place has never looked better…

(Yes, this is the rarely-seen, no-junk-anywhere, better-take-photos-while-it-looks-this-good shot.)

Kitchen

…but that means… ALL I’ve been doing is cleaning.  And cleaning, and cleaning.  And almost being afraid to touch anything – because I just cleaned.

Bleg.

I’d love to give you some big reveal, but our condo is awfully basic.  It’s probably as big as your craft room. ;)  It’s been a great starter place for our family, but we definitely need more than 900 square feet.  So we are looking forward to what a move would do for our family, now that our family is expanding.

All this fabulous clean presentation means that the messiness of crafting isn’t happening as often as I prefer.  Boo!  I did get a chance to make a classic charm bracelet after I got Raya to bed (and cleaned yet again, LOL) – but I’m just sitting down for the first time at 10:30 at night, and this pregnant mama really just needs to go to bed!  Let me show you a preview, though:

The full tutorial will just have to wait until next week, though. :)

I do have a FABULOUS giveaway that just went live overnight for the Washi Tape lovers, and I have a special guest joining me on Thursday and Friday this week!  I also can’t wait to show you how my Whiskey Barrel Garden is coming along, I just got my flowers in!  So there’s all kinds of excitement going on around here… just not enough time in the day to write it all down, haha.  May is starting out fantastic – and you know, I don’t really sit down and share the personal news all that often around here so I’m excited to share my news.  I LOVE writing tutorials, but it’s also nice to take a night of writing to be… well, bloggy for a change, and just be me.  So if you stuck with me all the way to here, thanks for reading a post that is probably more fun for ME to write than it is for anyone to read.

Next showing is at 2:30 this afternoon… wish us luck!

Wishing you a speedy sale, friend! I fear putting our place on the market for that very reason-cleaning isn’t my strong suit!

I know the market here in Chicago has really picked up. Homes are going ABOVE list price. Sending good vibes your way.

Oh sweetie I wish I knew where you are, your place sounds just right for me! I have been through being a seller and it is no fun to try to keep the place ready to show, so for your sake I certainly hope it goes quickly. I am in the middle of having to move as well so I feel your pain!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
