Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

09/26/2012

Well, fall is definitely here, because I have the urge to bake again!  I dug one of my oldies-but-goodies from my recipe box (yes, box, I'm old-school when it comes to classic baking) and made a little substitution just for my husband - chopped up some Reese's for these fabulous chocolate cookies. My ...

Painted Candle

09/25/2012

One of the things I love about fall is the scents.  I recently bought a really yummy candle, but the label on it was less than lovely. ;) So I decided to see what I could do about decorating it myself.I found it at Wal-Mart - the Better Homes and Gardens line has some really great scents.  This one ...

Those of you who follow my jewelry projects probably notice, I don't make a lot of earrings.  Any earringss, actually.  I have a toddler who loves my jewelry, so for a couple years now, I've stuck to plain studs so as not to be injured out of fascination.  But Raya has been getting better about ...

I can't believe that for as much jewelry as I make, I haven't used memory wire before now.  I am hooked!  Check out this SUPER simple beaded bangle I whipped up:This only took me about 15 minutes (half of which time I was just digging for beads that would go together). What you'll need:Coordinating ...

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
