When we were growing up, there were 3 pies at our Thanksgiving table: apple, pumpkin, and pecan. I’m an apple pie fan, personally, but all three have a well-earned spot at any holiday dinner. When I browse for recipes this time of year, it seems that my family is a lot like all of yours – I see recipes for apple, pumpkin, and pecan pies everywhere! Whether you love the classics, of prefer a new spin, I’ve partnered with Foodie.com today to share a dozen delicious recipes that range from classic to contemporary – all based on the classic Thanksgiving pies!

So what’s your style? I’m in the classics camp, personally. To me, it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without my family’s amazing Dutch Apple Pie. But I’m loving the idea of some of the hybrid combinations – pumpkin-pecan, or pecan-apple. Adding a kick is a great idea, too – like edgy spices, or spiking the recipe with a hint of bourbon. You could even think outside the box with cheesecake pies, and crust-less custards. And don’t forget – miniature pies means that everyone gets A WHOLE PIE – and it’s great for bringing home leftovers!

So, I have to know – what’s your favorite holiday pie? Apple? Pecan? Pumpkin? Something else entirely?
