Simple Rosette Bracelet

08/10/2011 by Adrianne Surian 28 Comments

I am just in love with fabric flowers right now.  They are so simple and quick to make and they embellish just about anything.  If you don’t know how to make fabric rosettes already, you can go to my tutorial here.
I am on vacation this week, which is always a fun time to catch up on crafting when I’m at home a few days.  Here’s a fun little project I whipped up at naptime.
Rosette Bracelet
Time: 1 hour
Supplies:
  • Fabric strips for your rosettes.  Or, just raid your bin of rosettes, if you’ve been addicted to making them recently.  Ahem.
  • Scraps of coordinating felt
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hinged bracelet (a cuff bracelet would also work)
Measure your bracelet first, and decide how many rosettes you want to include.  That will give you an idea of how big your rosettes need to be.  I settled on 6, and mine are slightly larger than an inch in diameter.  Cut circles of felt to fit the backsides.
Cover your felt with hot glue, and stick it to the wrist-side of your bracelet.  Place your rosette on the top side.  Fill in a little extra glue around the edges if necessary.
Go all the way around, until your bracelet is covered.  Trim up any loose threads, felt, or hot glue that’s visible.
That’s it!  Quick and simple!  Happy Wednesday, mamas!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
