Getting Ready For Disney’s FROZEN with Eggo Minis Snowman Fruit and Waffle Kabobs #FROZENFun

I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser.

I have a bad-mom story.  You all know I have young kids – so naturally, EVERYTHING Disney is a must-see.  But we missed FROZEN in theaters, despite my daughter asking about 2 dozen times.  My son was only a few months old, so I was recovering from that, and the holidays creeped up on us – and before I knew it, it was gone again.  So I promised her that when the DVD comes out on March 18th (next week!) that we would have a special party to watch it.  She is beyond excited to finally see the movie.  We will be making a morning of it next week, starting with a special FROZEN-inspired breakfast: Fruit and Waffle Snowman Kabobs with Eggo Minis!

See, to increase my mom-guilt, she got Anna’s dress-up dress and an Anna doll as a gift shortly after the movie release.  So to get ready, on our last #CollectiveBias trip to Walmart, we also picked up Elsa’s Light-Up Palace, and some Eggo Waffles to make a FROZEN-inspired movie snack!

She loves Elsa’s palace.  She is a huge fan of dollhouses and miniatures, so the palace has been a hit.

In addition to your FROZEN gear, be on the lookout for specially-marked 24-count Eggo Waffles right now, because there’s a $5 off offer for the FROZEN DVD.  Next week there’s also a price drop at Walmart so you can get FROZEN for $14.96 (from $16.96) – you know you’re buying it anyway, so you might as well save when you do, right?

If you’re not sure how Eggo Waffles ties in with Disney’s FROZEN movie – you can make healthy FROZEN-inspired snacks with Eggo Waffles and a little creative juice!

Just slice up some strawberries and any other fruit you’d like to add (I also used bananas) and toast up some Eggo Minis to make some snowman fruit and waffle kabobs that Olaf would approve of!

Skewer a few pieces of fruit, and three waffles.  The traditional carrot nose is a strawberry here, and I dusted it with a small amount of powdered sugar “snow”  for a fun and healthy snack.  Put it on a plate with sliced fruit, and you’ve got a great movie-starter!

Raya was so excited about her “snowman on a stick”!  We’ll be making these again for our movie day, for sure!

Meanwhile, it was still a Disney day over the weekend, even if we do have to wait a few more days for FROZEN!  That doesn’t stop my daughter from dressing up and bringing Anna to watch our traditional Sunday afternoon movie.  You can see some of our #FROZENFun in this Flipagram:

Are you looking forward to FROZEN as much as we are?  Are you having a special watch party?  Got any great ideas to share with me to make it a special day for my daughter?

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
