Friday Finds: 15 Fresh Summer Cocktails

Today’s post is brought to you by Foodie.com, and I had so much fun putting this collection together.  If you read here often, you already know I’m a bit of a cocktail-ista.  (That’s totally a thing.) But every season brings a specific flavor palette, in my opinion.  Summertime entertaining, to me, is fresh.  It’s things from the garden or from the farmer’s market that are freshly picked, freshly squeezed, crisp and flavorful – am I alone, here?

by Adrianne Surian at Foodie.com

I think at least 80% of the reason I planted our herb garden was for the fresh mint and basil, not for cooking with, but for adding to my favorite summer cocktail recipes, haha.  I’ve also got berries out back that will be ready in a couple of weeks.  Don’t get me wrong – I do LOVE cooking and baking with garden-fresh ingredients, but I also love those same flavors for a relaxing summer evening with friends on the deck, or with my husband.

You can click through the collection above to check out my favorite picks with fresh summer ingredients – fresh fruits, herbs – even veggies!  You can also follow me out on Foodie.com to find out first what I’m collecting. ;) In case you haven’t noticed –  love making collections out on the Foodie site, it’s so easy to find your favorite recipes and group them into visual categories.  (And I even get a slick little slideshow to share with you here!)

I hope you enjoy, and let me know if you try any of these delicious-looking recipes!  I’ve got a lot of them on my must-try list!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
