We’re gearing up for Halloween in the new house, and now that we are in a *real* neighborhood for the first time ever – we need just about everything! I have a front porch to decorate, we will have trick-or-treaters this year, and of course the kids need costumes! I am so excited this year, I can’t even put it into words – we were never able to get fully in the spirit when we were in our condo. So I hit up Target over the weekend (oh, how I love Target… don’t you??) and we picked up a few things to get ready for Halloween!
There were a TON of cute kids’ costumes – aisles of them! The princess dresses got my daughter’s immediate attention:
That is, she spotted a little pink cowgirl costume. (Considering she has been riding a roll of wrapping paper around the house for the past 3 weeks, calling it her horse, this was no surprise to me.) “It’s my favorite!” The girl has been wearing it around the house for days, now.
We still get to pick Roman’s costume this year since he doesn’t know the difference yet, haha. They had some adorable character-themed jammies – perfect for his age. Look at my handsome little guy… and can you believe at 2.5 months old, he is 17 lbs already?!? Superman, indeed!
I LOVE Halloween, and this year is particularly special being the first year in our house and the first year that Raya is old enough to trick-or treat. I can’t wait to see the neighborhood kids, and have a chance to meet and say hello to the neighbors I haven’t met yet! And my little shopping helper was as excited as I was as we picked out our Halloween decor (and of course – treats!)
Oh yeah, she is all about the M&M’s!
Isn’t Halloween fun? What are you doing to get ready?
