Have you found your Father’s Day gift idea yet? I’m really excited to share what I got for my husband for Father’s Day from today’s sponsor, Wilson Sporting Goods. My husband is a HUGE fan of all things sports, but football is his favorite and it’s a sport we both LOVE. He’s a self-professed “die-hard Colts fan”, so when I saw Wilson’s new custom Father’s Day designs, I knew we HAD to get a Colts-themed football for him for Father’s Day.
Wilson Sporting Goods has made the Official Game Football of the NFL for over 70 years, and they’re the official game ball of Father’s Day in this house. Just look at what we made! Wilson just launched a brand new site that allows you to create a custom ball for Father’s Day with his favorite NFL team – or any text, logo, or photo you want to add! Each ball is handmade by the craftsmen and craftswomen at the Company’s Football Factory in Ada, OH.
The new Father’s Day designs are the first of Wilson’s new personalized NFL footballs, and next month they will also be rolling out designs for weddings, birthdays, graduations, new babies, retirement, players of the week, and MVPs. So soon, you’ll be able to celebrate more than just dad with a custom ball – which is pretty awesome.
To get your order in time for Father’s Day, be sure to order by June 15th. When you do, you’ll get a free shipping upgrade to UPS 2-Day Air to be sure you’ve got the right gift, right on time. You can even sign up for email updates to score 15% off your custom football order.
We wanted to make my husband feel like a real MVP, so I picked up a display case for his new ball. And who can cover that up with wrapping paper? I just added a bow!
I still wanted to add a handmade touch to our gift, so I also stamped a metal blank with his name, and attached it to the base of the case. (I’m not going to get into stamping today, but if you’d like to learn more, you can visit my beginner’s metal stamping tutorial for everything you need to know to get started.)

The biggest problem I had was, of course, keeping it a secret until Father’s Day.
I totally couldn’t.
Rather than risk him seeing his surprise on accident, the kids and I caved, and we gave him his gift a little bit early.
Yeah. I think it’s safe to say, he likes it! (In case you couldn’t tell with him all clad in blue, even before he knew he was getting a gift. Like I told you: die-hard fan.) He kept saying, “Take another picture of me and my new ball! Take another!”
So I’ll leave you with just one more, if you didn’t think he was excited enough:
SCORE.
Make the dad in your life this happy. You’ll be glad you did.

I love this idea, it’s simple but really meaningful especially if he’s a big football fan. A Colts themed ball sounds like the kind of gift he’d remember for a long time
