Zombie Appetizer: Brain-Shaped Ham and Onion Cheeseball

01/31/2014

So who is excited for the Walking Dead premiere?  I have to confess, we don't do "scary" in our house.  But that doesn't mean it's not still fun to have creepy snacks for a zombie themed party!  I've teamed up with my favorite bloggers today to share a collection of zombie-themed projects which are ...

Snack Smart with Kellogg's #GreatStarts

Oh my goodness, what a week.  Like a lot of you - we've had SO much snow this week.  It's been a little over 24 inches (and there's more on the way this weekend). Boo! The long drives have really cut into my free time.  That means, meal plans have been thrown off, bedtimes have been later - our ...

How To Make Mod Podge Paper Beads

01/30/2014

Mod Podge Paper Beads at www.happyhourprojects.com

Did you make paper beads as a kid?  I loved cutting up magazines to make my own beads.  I was thinking back on it recently, and decided I wanted to re-visit the classic craft.  I have a book that I wrecked the binding on that won't hold its pages anymore, so I've been repurposing it for crafts, ...

How many boxes of open cereal are in your cupboard right now?  If you have kids, I'm sure you have more than one!  We have five, and that's pretty average.  Because in our house, we all like something different, and we all like to have a choice or two available.  The dilemma is, when you want to ...

Easy Wire "Love" Necklace at www.happyhourprojects.com

If you enjoy working with wire, then I have an easy jewelry idea that makes a great handmade Valentine's Day gift, or a fun something to wear on date night.  Wire crafting is a pretty inexpensive craft once you have made your initial investment in jewelry pliers and it's one of my favorite mediums, ...

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
