This post is promoted by Target. One of the most exciting rites of passage is getting your first apartment.  I still remember mine - all 400 square feet of it.  When you first start out you're focused on furniture, bedding, cleaning supplies, hopefully some curtains, and a set of dishes.  What ...

Easy Beaded Ankle Bracelet | Great Beginner's Jewelry Project at www.happyhourprojects.com

Well I was on the road last weekend all by myself - which never happens!  So I brought a few supplies and tools along with me, in case I wanted to make up a little something from my hotel room.  At home I'm up at 6:30 taking care of the kids, so of course on the road I was up at 5:30 with 3 hours ...

21 Wonderful Watermelon Crafts, Recipes & a Giveaway

07/17/2015

There's something that will always be true: watermelon is my flavor of the summer.  It's something that goes all the way back to when at 5 years old, I won a watermelon eating contest at a county fair - against boys twice my age.  True story!  I know I'm not the only one - my grandmother painted her ...

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
