Glitter Keepsake Box

09/15/2014

Mod Podge Glitter Keepsake Box at www.happyhourprojects.com

So, I LOVE glitter.  You would barely know it if you read here often, though, because I tend to avoid it when I craft.  I mean, glitter GETS EVERYWHERE.  You keep finding it for weeks.  On your clothes.  That you've washed.  On your kids, even though they were napping during craft time.  It's just ...

Captain America Movie Treat Boxes with M&M’s Movie Mix #HeroesEatMMs

Captain America Movie Treat Boxes at www.happyhourprojects.com #HeroesEatMMs #CollectiveBias #shop

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. I'm a mom of little kids, which means we rarely get to the theater to see a movie.  We always mean to, we want to, we plan to, and then someone gets sick, we can't find a sitter... if you're a ...

Easy Baja Fish Tacos

09/12/2014

Now that my husband has gone gluten-free, I have to confess, it's difficult finding variety in our meal planning.  We eat a lot of meat and potatoes these days - not many recipes to share when we grill steaks and burgers most of the time. ;) But I was really in the mood for something DIFFERENT and ...

Beaded Button Clasp Bracelet

Beaded Button Clasp Bracelet at www.happyhourprojects.com

Today's bracelet project is a little more on the time-consuming side (plan for this one to take most of an hour) but the offset to it is that the supplies are pretty darn cheap and you have SO many ways to make it your own!  Part of what took me so long was that I tried out a more decorative way to ...

Leather Charm Bracelet

Leather Charm Bracelet at www.happyhourprojects.com

It's fall, and oh leather, how I love thee when the weather turns cooler. ;) It was my mission to make a simplified version of a wrap bracelet, bet even though I really liked the look, I thought it was still a little plain.  So when leather looks plain, you dress it up with metal, stone, and a bit ...

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
