Grapefruit & Elderflower Cocktail at www.happyhourprojects.com

I know summer's coming to a close, but I'm just not ready to give up the fresh fruit cocktails on the back deck at night.  It's just getting dark a lot sooner after the kids' bedtime now... boo. ;) There are a lot of things I love about fall, but I do really love Michigan summers the most.  Anyway, ...

Stamped Butterfly Necklace

Butterfly Stamped Necklace at www.happyhourprojects.com

So you may have seen last week that I got into setting eyelets.  And yeah, I am hooked.  I thought it would be a great addition to this necklace idea that I have had in mind for a little while.  I wanted a wide charm, but attaching the chain directly the blank doesn't allow it to move well when you ...

40 Fantastic Tree-Inspired Projects

08/15/2014

40 Tree Inspired Projects at www.happyhourprojects.com

So I have an affinity for trees - as you probably already know, if you read here often.  I find trees soothing.  Nature.  History. Quiet comfort.  As a kid I was ALWAYS the one climbing the highest in the tree (hey, it's not like anyone was going to come get me and drag me down, right?)  Trees are ...

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
