Spring Bling Week – Druzy-Style Resin Necklace

Druzy Style Resin & Stone Necklace

I really love natural elements like stone, and I'm a jewelry buff on top of that, so it makes total sense that I'm drawn to druzy jewelry, which is pretty popular right now. :) If you don't know what druzy stone is already, it's basically when one type of stone or mineral forms on another larger ...

Spring Bling Week – Mixed Media Bracelet

Mixed Media Turquoise Bracelet

I love making mixed media pieces and blending different elements into one piece of jewelry.  I picked up some turquoise nugget beads when I was on vacation last summer  - it's my daughter's birthstone - and I thought Spring  Bling Week would be a great time to get them out and start working with ...

Woven Wrap Bracelet

Woven Wrap Bracelet

Today's project is mainly for the jewelry fans.  I mean, all jewelry posts are for the jewelry fans, but when I sat down to design a piece last night, I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to make, and some of the components I used (while not at all difficult) are not as beginner-friendly as I ...

Yarn Eggs

Yarn Eggs

Easter is almost here!  I can hardly believe it.  I have an oldie-but-goodie Easter craft to share with you today!  This is a kid-friendly project (as long as you're cool with your kids making a mess, I mean).  It only takes a few supplies - and if you already have yarn, then it hardly costs a ...

Hello, and welcome! I'm Adrianne, an artist, author, designer, and blogger in mid Michigan. I work from home, chase my two kids, and this once-city-girl is learning how to care for chickens and adjusting to life out in the country. I have a compulsion for daily creativity... sometimes it's jewelry-making, paper crafting, metal stamping, mixing and baking, or giving new life to recycled items. But with 2 young kids, time is short! My goal here at Happy Hour Projects is to share projects and tips that you can do in an hour or less. The ideas you find here are designed to add a little creativity in your day, no matter how much (or how little) time you have!
